Prior to medical school, I worked in Ecuador for a nonprofit focussed on child education and sustainable income programs, as well as a nonprofit in NYC focussed on youth counseling and career development. My research interests include severe drug reactions, autoimmune disease, and the psychosocial impacts of skin disease. Hi, my name is Sheena Desai and I’m currently a dual-degree student in the MD/MBA program at Tufts University School of Medicine. I graduated from Emory University in 2016 with a BS in Biology & Economics. My research interests include autoimmune skin disorders, medical dermatology, rare skin diseases, the intersection of dermatology and health policy, and quality improvement within dermatology.

My research interests include autoimmune diseases, quality improvement, and cost effectiveness within the field of dermatology.

Jane Han

My name is Jane Han, and I’m a medical student at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a BS in Molecular Cellular Biology in 2016. My research interests include the impact of skin conditions on mental health and health disparities. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, painting, and finding hole-in-the-wall restaurants.

Karen Lee

My name is Karen Lee and I’m a clinical research assistant in Dermatology Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I graduated from Boston College in 2015 with a BS in Biochemistry. My research interests include psychological impact of chronic skin diseases, changes in health care policies and costs in dermatology, and autoimmune skin disorders.

David G. Li

I am a dermatology resident in the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program and a graduate of the MD/MBA program at Tufts. I joined the Mostaghimi Lab in 2017 after receiving a predoctoral NIH grant to conduct clinical and translational research within dermatology. My research focuses largely on the implementation of quality improvement initiatives across various diseases states within dermatology. Outside of research, I am also involved in startups, consulting, and medical education.

I’m Sara and I am a medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine. I graduated with BS in psychology from Boston College. My research interests include how health policy impacts patient care, medical dermatology, and health disparities experienced by marginalized populations.

Kelly Lo

Hi, my name is Kelly Lo and I graduated from Boston University with a degree in Communications, a minor in International relations and a concentration in Chinese. I completed my postbaccalaureate premedical program at Harvard Extension school in 2019. As a research assistant, I have worked on multiple research projects involving connective tissue skin diseases as well as those aimed at optimizing resource utilization. I hope to attend medical school in the future and become a physician.

Priya Manjaly

Hi, my name is Priya Manjaly, and I’m a student in the Seven-Year Liberal Arts/Medical Education Program (BA/MD) at Boston University. Before medical school, I worked on grassroots healthcare advocacy with the Lown Institute in Boston and advocated on behalf of refugee and other vulnerable patients with the Doctors of the World Clinic in London. My research interests include global health, healthcare disparities, and medical dermatology. Most importantly, I am a proud Florida woman trying to make a better #Floridawoman.
